14th and U: > Love Letter < Dear Ian and Rebecca, Congratulations! I am happy for you! Capturing this moment was exhilarating! Thank you for the privilege of capturing this moment. I was just as nervous and excited as you were but for entirely different reasons. At this precise moment, I had calmed down and my heart stopped racing. I thought my work was done. After the marriage proposal, as I was walking away, I turned around and at this moment I knew this was an image. Although my tripod was in my bag, I am so thankful I did not put my camera away. Thank you for lingering. It is an image I will remember forever. I am only as good as my last image. If I quit now, I could be content with this image as a bookend. Yet, I am not quitting. I am thankful for you and for the Arlington Democratic community for allowing me to develop a new skill through volunteerism by stealing images at each party event and for trusting me with new opportunities to further grow and develop and most importantly - to enjoy hard work. April 11th will be a day I always remember because the two of you created a beautiful lifetime memory that I was allowed to witness and allowed to capture. This is my joie de vivre!
